This is a self-paced, reflective online course

The work is offered with care, spaciousness, and respect for each person’s pace and inner world.
An Invitation
We explore what it might be like to allow the life force of eros, joy, and abundance into our lives, where we can begin to live again, rejoice, experience, and feel beauty in life. We will make space for ourselves to be free from self-sabotaging patterns and the fear of joy. We will reap our own “harvest” and celebrate our growth with gratitude, however large or small. Celebrate the Harvest Festival of Lúnasa/Lúghnasadh/Lúghnasa, one of the four main festivals in the ancient Irish/Celtic year. It marks the end of summer growth and the beginning of autumnal harvests. Lúghnasadh celebrates the fruition of the year’s work and a time to rejoice, with gratitude, at the hard work and embrace the abundance that life has to offer.
Rooted in Irish Myth & Ancestral Memory
This work is grounded in Irish mythology and Folklore— not as story alone, but as a living language of the psyche.
Across cultures, myth has served as a language for inner experience — offering images and stories that reflect the psychological journeys of loss, exile, return, and restoration. In Irish mythology and folklore, themes of separation, wandering, and homecoming echo the inner movements of self-abandonment and return.
In A Journey Inward, myth, image, and symbol are not approached as stories to be learned, but as mirrors of the inner life — helping us recognise, feel, and re-inhabit parts of ourselves that may have gone quiet or unseen.
This is not about learning mythology. It is about deepening your relationship with your own inner symbolic life and remembering yourself through it.
The Heart of This Course
At the heart of this course is the celebration of Lúnasa, the Celtic festival of the first harvest, a time that honours the ripening of what has been cultivated through care, effort, and devotion. In Irish tradition, Lúnasa is associated with Lugh, the many-skilled one, whose gifts of craft, creativity, and mastery remind us that the fruits of our lives are shaped through both inspiration and commitment.
This course invites reflection on what has been growing and maturing within your own life. As the season of harvest arrives, we are called to pause and acknowledge what has taken root, what has flourished, and what may now be ready to be gathered, shared, or released. Through myth, poetry, reflection, and ritual, the course explores how moments of harvest can deepen our relationship with gratitude, purpose, and the meaningful expression of our gifts.
Drawing on the symbolism of the Irish landscape and the wisdom of Celtic seasonal traditions, this journey encourages you to honour the cycles of cultivation, ripening, and offering—recognizing how the gifts you have nurtured within yourself may now be brought forward into the world.
Join Eileen on a journey inward. Together, we will explore, through the work of Psychotherapy, Depth Psychology and Irish Mythology, how we can reconnect to ourselves through the cultivation of beauty, sensuality, and meaning.
Themes We Explore Together
Themes explored include:
-
The symbolism of Lúnasa as the Celtic festival of the first harvest, marking a moment in the seasonal cycle when what has been cultivated over time, effort, and care begins to ripen and bear fruit.
-
The mythological presence of Lugh, the many-skilled one, and what his story teaches about creativity, mastery, dedication, and the development of our unique gifts.
-
The meaning of harvest in the inner life, and how the cycles of planting, tending, growth, and gathering mirror the unfolding processes of the psyche.
-
The relationship between skill, purpose, and creative expression, and how our talents and abilities can be cultivated in ways that bring greater meaning and contribution to our lives.
-
The importance of recognising and honouring what has matured within us, allowing space to acknowledge both effort and growth before moving into the next cycle.

I wanted to translate the live workshops into a more impactful video-infused format that creates a more immersive and enjoyable experience. You can go at your own pace and start whenever you feel called to step into the journey inward. The essence of the courses is the same as the live workshop versions and still draws on aspects closest to my heart, from mythology, poetry, and the ancient Gaelic Celtic world, connecting to the body and the deeper symbolic, soul self.
I have added extra sections for deeper reflection, videos that share the myths in a visual format, and journal invitations to help you directly apply the work to your daily life.

About
Eileen Ní Shuilleabháin
BSocSc, MA Social Work, MA Psychotherapy, Dip Supervision, Dip Jungian Psychology, Certified Coach (WCI)
I am a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist, Supervisor, and Personal Development Coach with over 20 years of experience. I work internationally and am dual-located in the US and Ireland (in Northern Nevada and on the West Coast of Ireland, in Connemara). I work from a Jungian and depth-oriented perspective, integrating Jungian Psychology, Psychodynamic and somatic therapies.
I grew up in Connemara, a wild and rugged landscape on the Atlantic coast of Ireland. Oscar Wilde famously said of the region, “Connemara is a savage beauty”. I grew up in a small, rural Gaeilge (Irish) speaking community where Gaeilge is my first language, and is still spoken today in people's homes. This area was a major centre for the work of the Irish Folklore Commission, recording endangered folklore, mythology, sean-nós (old-style) songs, and oral literature. I have been greatly influenced by the wild physical landscape and immersed in those ancient songs, stories, customs, myths, legends, and music since childhood.
My work interweaves the Gaelic (Irish) World and Otherworld with Jungian Depth Psychology. The Gaelic world, with its symbols, language, myth, folklore, literature and heritage, becomes a doorway through which you can enter and explore your own inner landscape. I desire to share with you a felt sense of that ancient culture and spirit and, as a Psychotherapist, support how that connection can nourish and guide you on your personal development journey.
