Healing the Mother Wound | Online Course Series

In this series, we journey into the depths of the Mother Archetype—perhaps the most universally recognised archetype of the feminine across cultures. In Jungian psychology, she is the great symbol of nurture, protection, compassion, and the life-giving force that sustains us. Mother is not only personal—she is mythic, ancestral, and collective.

Crossing the Dark Seas of Loss into Strange Country

What meaning can we glean from these challenging times on our journey? How can we support ourselves in this darkness to find a new ground?

Darkness is associated with new beginnings, with the seed's potential below the ground. These are liminal threshold times in the changing seasons of our lives. Every change comes with grief and loss, and we are asked to let something go even when we welcome positive changes…

  • Teallach

The Irish word for The Hearth — a place of warmth, reflection, and return.

A space for those drawn to depth, myth, and the inner life.

Many of us carry a quiet sense of exile, shaped by early wounds and the ancestral stories we inherit. We become estranged from core aspects of ourselves.

Rooted in Irish myth, folklore, and Jungian depth psychology, this work offers a way of returning.

As we deepen our relationship with our inner world, we open to new possibilities and creativity. This exploration expands our psychological depth, strengthens our courage to engage with life, and nurtures compassion for ourselves, our ancestral story, and our place in the world—leading us toward a more authentic life.

What is Deepening the Senses?

Deepening the Senses is a way of supporting the journey of becoming more whole, what Jungian Depth Psychology calls Individuation.

It is a grounded and embodied path, rooted in sensory experience, shaped by the mythopoetic imagination, and informed by the ancestral wisdom of Ireland. Through this work, we begin to listen differently, to symbol, to story, and to the deeper movements of the psyche. It is expressed through one-to-one depth work, as well as courses, programmes, and retreats, offering different ways to enter and deepen into this process.

Deepening the Senses is an odyssey of soul and spirit. Through sweeping images of the Irish landscape, alongside language, myth, poetry, folklore, and Jungian depth psychology, these carefully curated journeys invite transformation, self-discovery, and a deeper sense of belonging.

Deepening the Senses

Mythopoetic Pathways into the Inner Life

Through live gatherings and self-paced courses, this work offers ways of entering into relationship with psyche, symbol, and the inner life.

When we attune to myth and folktales, we step beyond the purely rational and enter a timeless, symbolic realm. Here, imagination and metaphor speak in the language of the unconscious, inviting a more receptive relationship with our inner world and the subtle energies that move through us. In this space, the work unfolds through image, story, poetry, music, and embodied practices, deepening our awareness of the personal and ancestral patterns that shape our lives.

We are out of touch. We have no bridge on which to step across so many centuries.”
