  • New! The Return of Spring Meditation

I have created a special 26-minute visual meditation to welcome the spring season in our outer world and how it can support us now in deepening our exploration of our own inner world and soul self. In this visceral experience, you will awaken an appreciation of the springtime light, color and beauty, and how you can cloak yourself in compassion and begin to meet your soul self, as you cross the threshold to this new season in your life.

  • Depth Work & Psychotherapy

I aim to provide a compassionate space where difficult and sometimes painful experiences and emotions can be heard, felt and healed. A space for you to feel welcomed and understood. A space to explore and deepen curiosity and wonder at your inner world and embark on a journey of self-understanding and deeper connection, that can lead to personal growth and empowerment.

  • Embodiment, Soul and the Celtic Spirit

Healing the Wounds of the Abandoning Self | Online Course

We will focus on remembering the language of the body. We will explore our feelings and senses and how returning to our bodies helps cultivate our inner ground. This will allow us to begin the journey inward, where we will create a touchstone, an anchor, that supports us in feeling safe while we explore our inner world.

  • Resting Under Brigid's Mantle

Cultivating Sanctuary and Self Compassion in Daily Life | Online Course

During this course, we will call on the support of Brigid and her loving cloak, which she would expand and cover the length and breadth of Ireland in times of strife. We will explore how we can cultivate self-compassion and care in our lives and start to nourish and shelter ourselves— to feel our worthiness with love and care, just as we are. We will explore regret, guilt and stuckness when we struggle with indecision and the blocks around embracing life and our life force to share our potential with the world.

  • Deepening the Senses

Deepening the Senses is an immersive, transformative experience, a space of exploration where we build connections and reconnect with our inner world and soul self.

  • Walking Between Worlds

    NEW! Seasonal Program Series

In the Walking Between Worlds series, we cross the threshold into the Inner World and the realm of the spirit in an immersive journey of self-discovery and sacred time or ‘deep time’, which encompasses the past, the present, and the future. It is the time of landscape and cosmology, the time of dreaming, the space for the ‘subtle body’, and the time of the soul.

Deepening the Senses is an immersive, transformative experience, a space of exploration where we build connections and reconnect with our inner world and soul self through the Ancient Gaelic world.

It is a facilitated space of guided ritual, deep reflection, and learning. Deepening the senses is cultivated with care and honed over many years to create an intentional space where we cross into the inner realms, responding to the call of the soul, and drop down into the ‘subtle body,’ which speaks to us in the language of metaphor, symbol, and images. The Deepening the Senses experience shares knowledge, skills, and resources from depth psychology, psychotherapy, philosophy, literature, and art with you in an accessible, practical, and creative way. It weaves a visceral tapestry of experience, incorporating embodiment practices, rich visual meditations on images, music, poetry, stories, Irish mythology, and songs, and memorable sweeping images and footage of the beautiful Irish landscape.  Deepening the Senses is intended as a voyage of soul and discovery, where we explore what Patrick Kavanagh, the Irish poet, called “the true Gods of sound and stone”.  Here, we can catalyse the change and transformation we need in our lives, expanding our understanding and experience of our inner world and soul selves.

An tEarrach Thiar | In the Western Spring

The poem is by the poet, Máirtín Ó Direáin who came from the Aran Islands, a Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) region off the west coast of Ireland. Ó Direáin was born in 1910 in Sruthán on Inis Mór, the largest of the islands. The writer Louis de Paor described him as “one of a trinity of poets who revolutionised Irish language poetry in the 1940s and 50s” with Seán Ó Ríordáin and Máire Mhac an tSaoi.

About

Eileen Ní Shuilleabháin

BSocSc, MSW, MA Psychotherapy, Dip Supervision, Dip Jungian Studies, Certified Coach (WCI)

I am a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Depth Work Coach with over 20 years of experience. I am dual-located in the US and Ireland (In Northern Nevada and on the West Coast of Ireland, in Galway).

I grew up in Connemara, a wild and rugged landscape on the Atlantic coast of Ireland. Oscar Wilde famously said of the region, “Connemara is a savage beauty”. I grew up in a small, rural Gaelic (Irish) speaking community where Gaeilge (Irish) is still spoken today in people's homes. This area was a major centre for the work of the Irish Folklore Commission, recording endangered folklore, mythology, sean-nós (old-style) songs, and oral literature. I have been greatly influenced, not only by the wild physical landscape but by being immersed in those ancient songs, stories, customs, myths, legends, and music since childhood.

I desire to share with you a sense of that culture and spirit and, as a Psychotherapist, to support how that connection can nourish and guide you on your personal development journey.

As we look we feel the presence of a lost world. We are out of touch. We have no bridge on which to step across so many centuries.
— Sean OFaolain ("The Irish")

Inner Depth Work

Individual Services

I work in a process-orientated, holistic and integrative way, creating a space to explore how our past belief patterns, experiences, and unconscious can interrupt us in the here-and-now moments of our lives. Creating awareness in the body, noticing and exploring thoughts, feelings, sensations, beliefs, images, and memories, can support us in understanding the roots of complex issues and how these often unconscious processes and our past trauma can interrupt us and our life potential.

If you are interested in deepening into this work on an individual level, you are very welcome to explore my website to learn about my Inner Depth Work and Psychotherapy Practice.
